Events coming up
Natural HistoryWe have two events planned for November 2017 – firstly a fungus foray at the south of Southampton Common next Sunday starting at the Hawthorns Centre at 2pm and ending around 4pm, with an opportunity to visit the café at the end. The current forecast is quite dry and hopefully I will find time to locate some of the fungi there beforehand.
We then have an interesting talk on the subject of bats on Monday 13th Monday at Edmund Kell Hall at 7:30pm, and presented by Nik Knight of the Hampshire Bat Group. We also hope to have a raffle at some point (but not on the 13th) so any prizes you are able to bring along would be welcome.
You will also see, if you have received the winter 2017/2018 events list, that we have received a kind invite to the Hampshire Cultural Trusts museums collection at Chilcomb, Winchester on Saturday 3rd February (2pm). I am now taking bookings for this event but due to the small size of the site we again need to limit numbers to 15. It is fine if you have been before and want to come along again.
