Field Trip – Portchester Common – Chalkland Flora & General Interest

Chalk grassland is a unique and increasingly rare habitat in the UK and are generally the most diverse in terms of wildflowers and grasses.

Join us for a leisurely walk to look at the flora which grows on this important Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Owing to the topography there are some relatively steep slopes to negotiate, so please bear this in mind before attending.

Meet point: entrance steps to Anson Grove open space (opposite the Anson Grove T junction). Side street parking is available on Anson Grove
